2009 ASA District 12 Tournament
This past weekend we competed in the District tournament and took 2nd place. We began playing at 8:30 Saturday morning and did not finish our last game until well after 10pm that night, ending with our loss in the championship game, placing us at 2nd. We are so excited to have done so well, being that this was only our 2nd tournament to have ever participated in. It was a very long day, but so super fun for the girl and parents alike.

2009 ASA Ozark Mountain-Worth Classic
Berkeley's softball team participated in the 2009 ASA Ozark Mountain-Worth Classic in the 10-U Fast Pitch Recreational division. It was our very first tournament and we took 2nd place after 2 long, cold, wet days of ball games, and a championship games that lasted well over 2 hours, going into triple overtime. The girls did great and were so excited to even place...I don't think they even really cared what place....they were just happy to get a trophy.

While in Natchez, the weather was nice enough that we were about get one of the horses out to ride. This is one thing that Berkeley worries us silly about when we go home, because she always wants to get the horses out....we even got McKinley to ride with her. Bennett didn't want any part of it other than petting him...LOL!
PawPaw and Berkeley getting the horse out of the pasture. The other horses wanted to come play too, so PawPaw had to lead him to the road.

all smiles!

Well, Berkeley had her very first basketball game yesterday. IT was more like 4th grade basketball bloopers. Quite entertaining to say the least. There is an A team and a B team. Our 4th grade B team won by one point, and the A team (which Berkeley is on) lost by one point. The photo quality is terrible, but I was able to salvage a few. This is a very old gym (as you can see in the pics), and the lighting sucks...
