Gosh, I am slacking big time! Well. We are at the end of softball season.....Spring ball, anyway. Berkeley's team, 2Xtreme, moved up last fall to the 12U division. They have had a pretty good season, being the young'ins of the league this year, only losing 3 games total. Tuesday is our last season game, then the following week begins the end of the year league tournament which run through 4th of July weekend (it is spread out over 2 weeks in regular game slots, instead of a full weekend thing). The girls played in the District 12 tournament over the weekend and swept it by winning all three games. They even had to play the team that had beaten them twice in regular league play, and then met them again in the championship game. As always, when these two teams meet, it came down to who got last bat. These two teams put on a great game...Anyway, we ended up going into overtime, and 2Xtreme (who had last bat, luckily) rallied up and took the win. I can not describe the tension of that last inning and how awesome it was to see the girls so excited.
